It can be tough to take photos from aircrafts flying in low height over the field (like this DC-6). Sometimes my old camera is just too slow for this kind of action... :-)

Airport Days

Over the weekend Hamburg Airport was hosting the Airport Days. I'll put a few of the photos into the feed over the next days.

VIP guest #1 was of course the A380. That thing really is big! It was waiting to start to Toulouse, but the start was postponed because of technical issues.

HDP on Hiatus

You probably found out yourself by visiting here: after my move I found myself with less and less time to take photos to post here, which means that Hamburg Dailyphoto is on a temporary hiatus until I am in the city more often to take some nice photos for you!

Queen Mary 2

I took this photo on my way home last night. It turned out, that we had an aristocratic Lady visiting Hamburg: the Queen Mary 2.
As you could expect there where plenty of people at the Cruise Terminal to watch!

Downtown Bigband - Planten un Bloomen

Although it was raining cats and dogs on sunday the concert in Planten un Bloomen took place. We were really lucky, because it stopped raining exactly for the duration of the concert. Right to the end of the last tune it started again. Lucky day!

I'm moving...

Sorry for the silence on this site! I'm in the middle of moving to my new place. I prepared a couple of photos to post during the move, but they are buried in one of the boxes and I just can't find them.

I try to be back with a regularly posted photo sometime next week, but I can't promise anything right now.

railroad crossing

There are times when all you want is to get home quick. What happens then (you know Murphy's law?) is that a very long freight train is crossing the street really slooooowly... :-)
